Il Museo Virtuale di Scienze della Salute raccoglie collezioni di strumenti scientifici conservati all'interno della sede ospedaliera. Queste raccolte, accessibili attraverso le serie fotografiche qui catalogate, testimoniano l'evoluzione tecnologica che la medicina a Ferrara ha vissuto attraverso i secoli e mirano ad aumentare il suo valore storico-scientifico e culturale.
Dedicato ai cultori di storia della medicina, il Museo Virtuale si offre come utile strumento per riscoprire il valore dell'antica strumentazione scientifica e l'importanza che l'esperienza scientifica assume attraverso lo studio degli strumenti qui esposti.
Nell'ambito del territorio locale, il Museo mette in atto varie attività e iniziative allo scopo di arricchire e preservare dall'oblio le proprie collezioni, in quanto importanti documenti dell'evoluzione della tecnologia medica e utili per comprendere aspetti particolari della cultura scientifica.
The Virtual Museum of the Health Sciences brings together collections of instruments of scientific interest kept within the hospital buildings. This collection of materials, which can be accessed by means of the series of photographs catalogued here, bears witness to the technological evolution of medicine in Ferrara over the centuries and aims to add to its historical-scientific and cultural value.
Dedicated to anyone who might be interested in the history of medicine, the Virtual Museum offers itself as a useful tool for rediscovering the value of old scientific instruments and the importance of scientific experience that can be analysed through them.
As a part of the work of awareness raising that the Museum is involved in within its own locality, various activities and initiatives are planned in order to enrich the collection so that important documents concerning the evolution of Ferrarese medical technology are saved from oblivion and preserved as fundamental and informative evidence for understanding particular aspects of scientific culture.
